Verify your pixel is working
It's always helpful to verify your pixel is reporting data back to Facebook correctly. To help with this, Facebook has a great tool to ensure things are working correctly under your Pixel's Test Event.
Make sure to follow the tips that Facebook has laid out when testing pixel events by disabling any ad blockers, and keeping the Test Events tab open when testing.
To use the tool, copy the link for the landing page used in your ads, paste it into the "Enter website URL" input, and press the "Open Website" button.
As you can see below, we've got a happy pixel that's working correctly and receiving valuable data
(You may notice two PageView events, and this is due to ArtistHub's smart fallback system)
Test Server Events
In addition to browser events, you can test server events on your ArtistHub landing page:
Get Your Server Test Code:
Copy your server test code. For example, mine is TEST70577.
Modify Your Landing Page URL:
Add
?fb_test_event=CODEHERE
to your landing page URL.Example:
https://vibe.to/link?fb_test_event=TEST705777
Test Browser Events:
Paste this new link into the Test Browser Events tool.
Facebook will work to deduplicate events, indicating that your landing page is sending both browser and server events.
Common Issues with Pixels
Here are some common issues and their solutions when testing pixels:
Incorrect Pixel Configuration:
Ensure the correct pixel is configured on the platform.
Whitelist Interference:
Check that whitelist settings are not interfering with your pixel.
Business Manager Misalignment:
Make sure the pixel is managed by the same Business Manager as the Ad Account creating the ad.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your Facebook pixels are working properly and that your ArtistHub landing pages are effectively tracking user interactions.
